The new fund is designed to give customers an investment solution that aligns with Islamic financial principles.The Shariah-compliant Ziidi Fund allows users to grow their savings while ensuring investments are made in accordance with Islamic law. The fund avoids interest-based transactions and investments in sectors considered non-compliant under Shariah guidelines. Customers can access the service directly through M-Pesa, making it easier for more Kenyans to participate in ethical investing.Speaking during the launch, Safaricom officials said the new product is part of the company&#8217;s efforts to promote financial inclusion and provide customers with a wider range of investment options. The firm noted that demand for Islamic financial products has been growing across the country, particularly among customers seeking faith-based investment opportunities.Industry analysts say the introduction of the Shariah-compliant Ziidi Fund could help expand access to investment products while attracting new users to the M-Pesa ecosystem.
