PS Omollo Unveils Enterprise Support Plan for Nearly 600 Homa Bay Youth Groups

HOMA BAY, Kenya, Aug. 10 – Principal Secretary for Internal Security and National Administration, , has unveiled an enterprise support plan targeting nearly 600 youth groups in Homa Bay County to promote economic empowerment and job creation.
Speaking during a meeting with youth leaders in the county, the PS said the government was committed to supporting young people through entrepreneurship, skills development, and access to financing. He noted that empowering youth-owned enterprises would help reduce unemployment and improve livelihoods.
Omollo said the programme will provide training, mentorship, and business support services to enable youth groups to expand their income-generating activities. He encouraged beneficiaries to take advantage of the initiative and invest in sustainable projects that can create opportunities for more young people.
Local leaders welcomed the initiative, saying it would strengthen youth participation in economic development and contribute to poverty reduction in the region. They urged the youth to remain focused and utilize the support effectively to achieve long-term growth.
